CBL Corporation Limited (CCL) is a privately owned insurance/reinsurance Group that has been operating for more than 40 years. CCL is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand and its main operating insurance company, CBL Insurance Limited (CBL), is regulated by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ). The majority of CCL’s operations are conducted in Europe where the Group’s strength has been identifying relatively small, niche insurance lines that are highly profitable and then entering into insurance or reinsurance arrangements with a local partner on a risk sharing basis.
